Begin your scenic drive along the Lamu Road, heading towards Robinson Island. 10:15 AM – Stop at Sabaki RiverPause at the Sabaki River, where fresh water flows into the Indian Ocean over an 800-meter stretch. Enjoy a chance to spot hippopotamuses and various bird species. 10:45 AM – Drive Through Ngongoni Salt PansContinue towards Ngongoni Salt Pans, where you can view lesser flamingos feeding on the shimmering salt flats. Walk down into the colorful canyon, learning about its unique geology and local legends. The walk takes about one hour. 06:00 PM – Sunset ViewingReturn to the upper edge of the canyon to witness the magical sunset over the valley — a photographer’s dream moment. 07:30 PM – Return to HotelAfter sunset, drive back to your hotel in Watamu, Malindi, or Mamburui.
